Meher Banaji's 31-year association with the Happy Home School for the Blind

Meher Banaji's 31-year association with the Happy Home School for the Blind, as Principal and Administrative Head, transformed the school from a single-room institution for six court-committed students into a dynamic three-storeyed residential school for 200 visually-impaired youngsters from three to 20 years. In 1996 she was awarded the President's Award for her outstanding contribution to special education. Bombay 1999.
