Avan Yazad parab - the day of prayers to Avan, the divinity presiding over water. Each day and month of the Zoroastrian calender is dedicated to a divine being who either presides over a natural creation or a human attribute. When the day and month dedicated to a particular divine being coincides, it is celebrated as a parab or a festive day by the Zoroastrians. Marine Drive, Bombay 1984. |
